Vanuit de Studio Delvaux, nodigt het Huis Delvaux, regelmatig
creatieve mensen van buitenaf uit om samen met de ambachtslieden van het
Huis een object uit te werken. Dit keer nodigde Delvaux Katrin Wouters en
Karen Hendrix uit: het duo achter de gelijknamige juweelcreaties, die al
meer dan 25 jaar lang verrassen door hun zin voor avontuur en raffinement
en door hun voortdurende streven om oude technieken te vertalen naar
vandaag. Het resultaat van deze samenwerking is ‘Embrace’: een armband
waarin de werelden van de fijne lederwaren en edelsmeedkunst samensmelten.

Dans le cadre de Studio Delvaux, la Maison Delvaux invite
régulièrement des designers pour créer, avec ses propres artisans, un objet
stylisé. Cette fois-ci Delvaux a invité Katrin Wouters et Karen Hendrix, ce
duo créateur connu pour ses bijoux éponymes. Depuis plus de 25 ans, les
deux stylistes n’en finissent pas de surprendre par leur caractère
aventurier et leur raffinement, et par leur désir continuel d’adapter les
techniques anciennes. Le résultat de cette collaboration ? ‘Embrace’,
une manchette unique mariant les mondes de la maroquinerie fine et de
l’orfèvrerie.

Maison Delvaux regularly invites external designers to the
Delvaux Studio to create a stylised item with its own craft workers. This
time Delvaux invited Katrin Wouters and Karen Hendrix, a creative duo
famous for their own style of jewellery. For more than 25 years these two
stylists have continually surprised with their adventurous ideas and their
sophistication and their on-going adaptation of old techniques. The result
of this collaboration? "Embrace": a unique bracelet marrying the
worlds of the fine leatherworker and the goldsmith.
